1. Sympli Web Application Requirements

The following operating requirements apply for accessing the Sympli platform:

Minimum System Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows 10 or later with up-to-date operating system patches applied. .

  • Hardware with 16Gb of RAM and 5Gb free disk space.

  • Screen resolution of 1280×720 or higher.

  • An available standard USB 2.0/3.0 port.  (Required for Digital Signing via USB Token).

  • Current anti-virus security software installed and correctly configured.

Supported Browsers

  • Google Chrome (latest version), Sympli recommends using Google Chrome as your browser.
  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based latest version). 

Internet Access

  • The Sympli platform is a web-based application. A stable internet connection is required

Multi-Factor Authentication

Sympli uses the OKTA Verify Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) app as part of the login and authentication process. 

Sympli users will need to download the OKTA Verify App on their mobile device: 

  • Support Policy: Public major versions of iOS released within the last two years. 
  • Support Policy: Public major versions of Android released within the last five years. 

2. Digital Signing Requirements

DigiCert Certificate Manager & Additional Signer Requirements

All Sympli Subscribers must have a minimum of one (1) Certificate Manager and a minimum of one (1) authorised signer. (These can be the same person.) Certificate Managers can request additional Digital Certificates for authorised signers within their organisation, via their DigiCert account. 

A Gatekeeper Accredited Certificate Authority must issue Digital Certificates. Currently, DigiCert is the only Certificate Authority supported by Sympli. 

Already have an existing certificate?

If you have an existing DigiCert Digital Certificate, please contact help@sympli.com.au or 1300 SYMPLI (796 754) to determine if it can be used on Sympli.   

Hardware Requirements

A secure USB hard token for Digital Certificate storage; this will be provided by Sympli. 

Sympli Signing Applications

To digitally sign documents and financial directions in Sympli using your DigiCert Digital Certificate (USB Token) you will need to download and install three pieces of software to your computer. Local system Administrator rights are required to install this software.  

Note: You may need to ask your network or IT administration for support.
